COTTON INDUSTRY BILL MOVED IN COMMONS
London, To-day. SIR ANDREW DUNCAN, President of the Board of Trade, made his maiden speech in the House of Commons yesterday when he moved the second reading of the Cotton Industry Bill.
Sir Andrew said: "The last war dealt exports of cot- ton a hard and cruel blow. Leaders of the cot- ton industry who support this Bill are not pre- pared to run the same risks as on the last occa- sion.
