"You're picking winners well today— see if you can tell this whisky.”
"It's White Horse, of course-- I could tell it blindfold'
The rare and subtle character of White Horse sets it apart from any other whisky. You can tell it by its exquisite bouquet alone. But it is the perfect blending of fragrance with mell- owness and smoothness which makes White Horse Whisky the equal of a fine liqueur. The millions of gallons of finest Scotch whisky matured and maturing ensure that the quelity of White Horse never varies.

GERMAN CAPTAIN GIVES TRUTH OF AN "ATROCITY" STORY
London, To-day.
GERMAN PROPAGANDA is careful not to broad- cast items which go direct to countries which know the real truth. Thus, a propaganda ver- sion of the sinking of the German ship Watussi has not been broadcast in the programmes to South Africa.
The "story" says that British bombers machine- gunned the life-boats of the German ship, which scuttled herself on December 2.
The vessel, it will be recalled, was
Intercepted by planes of the
African Air Force, manned by South CRIMINAL
Africans.
A South African official in London yesterday pointed out that a complete refutation of the Nazi lle was pro- vided by none other than the captain of the Watussi himself, whose state- ment to the South African press on December 4 was reported verbatim.
The captain described how he pre- pared to scuttle his ship as a lone 'plane circled around overhead.
When everything was ready and there would be no danger by aban- doning ship, he gave the order to holst the German flag and for the in the life. passengers and crew
boats to be swung overboard. Shortly before giving this order, the sea-cocks had been opened and the passengers' quarters set on fire.
IN LIFEBOATS AN HOUR "We were only in the life-boats for one hour before we were all picked up by a British warship.
We could not have been better treated by the Royal Navy..
The captain stood me a drink und belleve me I needed it! and the passengers were given coffee and food. Nor were my crew forgotten; they were given every attention pos- sible." Reuter.
