The vicar of the German Church at Oslo officiated at the funeral and short speeches were made by the Ger- man Minister, the captain of the Alt- mark and a captain of the Norwegian Navy.
The latter placed a wreath with Norwegian colours on the grave. Wreaths were also placed on behalf of Hitler and the German Navy. Reuter.

Among 75 Derby Sweep purchased by a syndicate organised by members of the Bakery Department of Lane, Crawford's, was the lucky one - No. 132569.
The "China, Mail" learned to-day that a $1 share in the lucky ticket amounts to about $3,900.
It is understood that the largest single holding amounts to some $39,000.
It is reported that a group of 12 amahs won one of the other prizes in the same Sweep,
European members of the Bakery, Mr. C. J. Triggs and Mr. Peacock participated in the Syndicate. It is understood that each wins about $39,000.

San Pedro, To-dáy. Forty sailors from German ships which have taken refuge in Mexican harbours have booked passages in the Helyo Maru, which was to sail last night.
The sailors are attempting to return to Germany by way of Siberia.- Havas.

arising between Germany and Norway.
The Nazi press continues its attacks against Britain but is careful to avoid criticising Norway.
