DALADIER WARNS AGAINST TOTAL WAR Civilians Should Prepare For The Worst

AIR BLITZKRIEG COMING

Paris, To-day.

A WARNING THAT THE NAZIS would in all prob- ability launch totolitarian warfare before long, and that the civilian population should prepare itself for the worst and should "live like sol- diers," was given by the Premier, M. Edouard Daladier, in a broadcast last evening.

M. Daladier said he had to be frank, even brutal;

when Hitler unleashed his aerial warfare the civilian population would have to bear the brunt of it, and they must not be deluded into a sense of false security and grow careless.

M. Daladier declared that Nazi do- mination was different from anything history had ever known-it was pur- suing the systematic destruction of the vanquished.

"Hitler doesn't treat with nations which have submitted to him, ho destroys them,” M. Daladier declared. ONLY CATTLE

"To him human beings are only cattle; he orders their massacre of emigration, imposes no war tributes but takes away all their riches. To check in advance any revolt he de- cimates their elite.

"Thousands of towns, and villages and millions of human beings in Europe know miseries we should not have attempted to imagine only few months ago.
