Little Of Interest In Interport Soccer Practice
SIX CLUB FORWARDS GIVE FINE DISPLAY
(By "SCRUM-HALF")
Navy "A", fielding such players as Paul, Carter and Bowden, beat a Club team who played only six forwards by three tries (9 points) to ■ try (3 points) In their Rugby match at the Valley yesterday.
Only feature of a fairly open game was the inspired display given by Club's depleted pack under the excel- lent leadership of Kennedy Packing 3-2-1, Club more than held their own in the tight scrums, Cullinon (Police) beating Barlow time and again, while in the line-outs and loose they were quite the equal of their opponents. Bompas, Cullinan and Kennedy were outstanding throughout and the others, though not as spectacular, all pulled their weight.

Little good football was witnessed at this game, the players reserving themselves, as the game was arrang- ed with the idea of giving the players a chance of familiarising themselves with one another's play.
Incidentally it was the Service play- ers who shone in this game. Moxham In the Rest goal, gave a sound dis- play and was more severely tested that he has been for some time; his per- formances yesterday justified his se- lection.
ROBINSON MAGNIFICENT

At the other end, Robinson was again magnificent and brought some good saves and played confident- ly throughout.
Blackburn and Hau Yung-sang were safe backs and rarely miskicked though the latter was somewhat erra-
but he too punted more often than was necessary, and Aitkenhead ran straight on the few occasions he re-tic.. "eived a good pass. Bidwell, though ursing an injured ankle, turned out at full-back as Club were short, but he naturally did not exert himself,
