The German commercial attache, who was concurrent- ly Helsinki correspondent of the Nazi 'news agency, re- signed and joined the Finnish army because of the attitude of his country to the Finnish

war.

The attache discovered that his des- patches on the situation on the Finnish front were either suppressed or modi- fled before being published in the Ger- man press.

After vain protests against this ac- tion of the German censor, he decided to break off with the Legation and the news agency.

He is now an artillery captain in the Finnish forces.-Havas.
