MORE JUNKS
FIRED
Setting fire to junks continues to be the practice of Japanese naval units operating along the South China coast, three such incidents having occurred to re- on January 9 last, according ports made by the victims when they arrived here yesterday.
In each instance the men were or- dered by armed Japanese sailors into a sampan and the Japanese set fire to the junks. The men returned after the Japanese had left, extinguished the fires and sailed for Hong Kong.
CASE DISMISSED
Appearing before Mr. T. J. Houston at the Central Magistracy at 12.30 p.m. yesterday following the Issue of a warrant for his arrest, Mr. Paul Government Symons, 30, Hannay Assistant Analyst, was dismissed with a caution for being drunk and dis- orderly in the Gough Hill Police Station on Sunday.

A French Journalist in his dea- cription of anti-aircraft fire some- where in France the other night said that he saw puffs of smoke between Orion and the Pleiades.
