London, To-day. Eight years ago Flying- Officer D.R.S. Bader, a former Hendon aerobatic ace, com- ing out of a slow roll, crashed at Reading and received ter- rible injuries.
He hovered between life and death in hospital, and lost both legs in the crash.
Now he is once more an R.A.F. pilot "somewhere in England."
As soon as he was able he took a course in civil aviation, actually learning to pilot a plane operating the rudder controls with his false limbs.
