ANSWER: Your correct bid is two spades. You want to show your seven- card suit now while you can.

At the will know same time your partner that your hand, is not very strong, else you would double one notrump. Score 100% for two spades, 60% for pass.

ST. TERESA'S MAKE DEBUT THIS EVENING AGAINST KING'S

(By “ADREM”)

THERE IS A FAIRLY full programme of "B" Division Badminton League matches down for decision this evening most interesting of which should be the fixture between St. Teresa's and King's College.

This match will mark St. Teresa's, B. P. C. Fletcher and N. A. E. Mackay; A. debut to the League. They have se-

E. H. Castro.and Lee Kam-ming. lected a very useful side, five of them. having played regularly in the Lea- gue.

There is one newcomer, Austin Ho. A brilliant player, Ho, like so many other local players, hails from Ma- laya where he is said to have played a good deal.

In practice with Albert Ulrich, former V.R.C. player, Ho has worked up quite a sound combination and provided he does not allow the importance of the occasion to affect his play, this pair should do quite well.

Other pairings have been well tried in the Kowloon Tong team of the last two seasons, your: John Chen and Francis Tsang; Peter Lo and brilliant left-hander Joe Tsang com. prising two formidable pairs.

King's, who played in "A" Division last season, are relying on the same team which beat St. Andrew's last week and will have to pull out all they know to secure the points this evening.

H. KEW BACK

Another fairly Interesting match should see St. Andrew's strengthened by the -in- clusion of Henry Kew; who arrived from long leave last Thursday, take a couple points from Kowloon Tong.

of

The surburbanites will be represented by four members of their team of last year in R. E. Lee and F. S. Ko; and N. A. E. Mac- kay and B. P. C. Fletcher. Other pair will be A. E. H. Castro and Lee Kam-ming, the latter a player of considerable promise.

The fact that they are playing at home and have probably had rnore, practice than St. Andrew's might just turn the scale in the home team's favour,

In the other game. St. John's should have little opposition from the K.C.C. team, apart from that which should be provided by A. L. Fisher and P. Wynter-Blyth, and should win with the utmost ease.
