This declaration was made by Count Csaky, the Hungarian Foreign Minister, in the course of a speech outlining foreign policy in the Lower Chamber yesterday.

Mr. J. E. Henson, of the War Department Stores, Kowloon, who was a passenger in the Sirdhana, blown up by a mine at Singapore the other day, arrived in the Colony this morning, aboard a Jardine steamer.

Mr. Henson, who was rescued after spending twenty minutes in the water, lost all his personal belongings in the disaster, and arrived in borrowed clothes.

Stockholm, To-day.

A Swedish steamer was hailed in Swedish territorial waters by a German plane which alighted on the sea beside the ship and put a prize crew aboard. Half an hour later Swedish planes

ar- rived and flew over the steamer. The German captain then apolo- gised, declaring he was not aware the steamer was in terri- torial waters. The German prize crew retired and re-embarked in the plane-Reuter.

Kwang Chow Wan, To-day. Nanning, Limchowfu and areas between Nanning and the Kwangsi border, were bombed this morning by Japanese air- craft in spite of the bad weather prevailing.
