AND SANK TWO SHIPS WRECKED
London, To-day.
IT WAS MADE KNOWN in London yesterday that the American steamer "City of Flint," which was captured by the Germans on Saturday and taken into the north Russian port of Murmansk, had on board 38 survivors of the British vessel Stonegate, which was sunk while on the way from Chile to England.
A member of the Stonegate's crew said that the vessel was sunk by the German pocket-battleship Deutschland.
The crew were taken on board the German warship which then steam- ed northwards until she met the City of, Flint.
The men were transferred to the City of Flint, together with a. Ger- man prize crew, and were landed at the Norwegian port of Tromso.
Meanwhile the United States Am. bassador in Moscow has cabled Washington that the full facts of the seizure of the City of Flint are not yet known in the Soviet capital.
