A fine of $10 was imposed. Captain F. A. Eustace, of 1, May Road was fined $10, and Major R. D. Walter of No. 160, The Feak, and Mr. L. C. Davis, of No. 4, Conduit Road, were fined $5 for similar offences.

Mr. H. W. Fraser, of the S. C. A., said the premises were visited on information. The girl was found in the servants' quarters. She com- plained that she had been beaten by a daughter of the family.
A fine of $50 was imposed. Mr. Houston told Mr. Fraser to bring the case to the notice of the Medical Board.

Ko Choi, 48, was sentenced to three months' hard labour by Mr. R. A. D. Forrest this morning, for stealing a roll of barbed wire from the hillside · at Wongnelchung Gap yesterday.
Lieut. R. W. C. Smales, of Royal Engineers, prosecuted.
Inspector A. V. Baker said defen- dant was seen removing the wire, and was arrested on the spot.
