It was a great pity about the wicket. At this stage of the season it is difficult enough to play spin bowling on él plumb wicket but on a sticky one it was much too hard for any but the favoured few who had managed a fair amount of practice.

THE eight-ball over gave most field-
ers a strange feeling. From force of habit many of them automatically started to change over after six ballo had been bowled and the extra two balls appeared to make a great differ- ence in the time to be waited before changing over.
Strangely enough, enquiries reveal- ed that the people least affected were the bowlers. None of them appeared to notice any extra strain and most of them expressed satisfaction with the new rule.
Generally speaking, the effect of the liveries bounced twice before reaching new rule is to speed up the rate of the batsman.

It is difficult to speak of the merits of Burleigh cigarettes without mentioning that they are only 20 cents a package... that seems so little to pay for such a good cigarette.
