KWONG WAH, EASTERN CLASH IN SOCCER SEASON'S OPENING Royal Scots Believed To Have Powerful Team

LEE WAI-TONG ON VIEW TO-MORROW

POSTPONED FOR A FORTNIGHT so that clubs could get in some training the Local Football season officially opens this afternoon with a long and interesting programme of matches in all Divisions of the League.

Owing to present conditions, postponements will be envitable but the Football Association have been assured of the co-operation of all clubs in having their postuoned games played off as soon as possible so that the season will not be unduly prolonged.

Two of the leading Civilian teams who have always been against Sunday football have agreed to play on Sun- days when necessary.

The outstanding game this afternoon should be that on Club ground when the much improved Kwong Wah team meet Eastern, runners-up in First Division last

season.

Eastern have been practising very hard during the past six weeks but have met with several setbacks recently, Chan Kam-hol and Chan Sui-mart having now gone over to South China while Lee Tak-kee, their main goal-scoring medium, will not be available. SEVERAL NEWCOMERS Kwong Wah have been strengthened by several newcomers who figured in the junior teams of South China last season among whom are Tse Kam-hung and Lee Yan-leung.

team. Costa and Gaan who were both out of football last season owing to injuries will again be playing.

The Chinese team will be composed of last year's players and will include Lee Wal- tong.

In spite of the fact that Kowloon do not account for Royal Navy, who have had great appear as strong as last season they should

play at centre half supported by Maxwell difficulty in fielding a side. Williamson will

by Jackson, who gave a good impression and Rumjahn and the forwards will be ted last week.

Little is known about the junior teams but there is no doubt that several Interesting games will be witnessed.

The game between Ordnance and South China in the Second Division has bren post- poned owing to manning exercises.

It's the mellowness of BOOTH'S Dry Gin that makes it so much to be. desired in cocktails. Such mellowness comes only from treble distillation and maturing in sherry casks and DOOTH'S DRY is the only GIN which receives such care in its mak- ing. It is not to be wondered at that the 1st prize Cocktail in the Inter- national Cocktail Competition was made with Booth's Dry.
