Paris, To-day. GERMAN HEAVY ARTILLERY yesterday bombed a
French village about a mile from Sierck. General Gamelin, according to a military correspon- dent, is cornering one wing of the enemy against the 'Luxemburg frontier and at the same time driving a wedge between the Moselle and Rhine rivers.

It is pointed out that much of the tea is already manufactured for present regulation year and an ditional 40 million pounds is volved by the increased quota which cannot reach this country until well into next year.
It is emphasised that there no short- age of stocks exist and the opinion is expressed that that the primary rea- son for the extra release is to ensure ample supplies against all contingen- cies.-Reuter.
