If this is true, the mission to Moscow of the Nazi Foreign Min- itter was a fallure, as Britain and France have refused Germany's peace overtures and Germany will be isolated-Reuter.

FRENCH STATEMENT
Paris, To-day. France's reply to the German- Soviet Agreement is published in the form of a semi-official statement. in which it emphasises that after, pro- testing with so much violence against the Versailles Treaty and the so-call- ed violation of rights of the German people, Germany now regards the destruction of Poland as the base of lasting peace.
How can one hold up the destruction of the Polish nation as bringing about the destruction of all grounds for con- filct in the anat?-Reuter.
FOUR POINTS
Berlin, To-day. Before leaving Moscow, von. Rib- bentrop said that the following points had been settled:---
Firstly, that German-Soviet friend- ship had been definitely established:
Secondly, that the two nations would allow no further interference in Eastern European questions;
Thirdly, that both desired peace to be re-established and that Britain and France give up the futile struggle against Germany;
Fourthly; "Should the war-mongers of those two countries prevail" Ger- many and the U.S.S.R. know how meet such a situation.

Hubay's vote of non-confidence in the Government was defeated.
