BECAUSE SHE WAS DISTURBED by the cries of a knive- and scissor grinder, Mrs. B. Pears, of No. 108, Austin Road, Kowloon, picked up an air-pistol and fired in his direction, a pellet striking the man on the forehead. This morning, Mrs. Pears was summoned for wantonly and negligently discharging a shot from an air-pistol, caus- ing damage to the grinder, Chek Pun, and was fined $50. She was also ordered to pay $1 compensation to the grinder.
