POLAND IN THE WAY

Berlin, To-day. The possibility and desirability of Anglo-German understanding on a wide basis is discussed by the press following Mr. Chamberlain's state- ment in the Commons yesterday and: the exchange of communications be- tween Hitler and Mr. Chamberlain,

The "Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung," for example, says that Hitler aims at peace in Europe by the removal. of the Injustice of Versailles and by a genuine Anglo-German understand- ing, but Mr. Chamberlain's speech showed that the unsolved German- Polish question stands in the way of attainment of this goal.-Reuter.
