An official communique states:- "The time chosen by Slovakia to describe Poland as an enemy proves that the Slovak Government, under the influence of a foreign country, has no control over its own affairs."
The Polish Government is un- derstood to have decided to call more classes to the colours, con- sidering that the action of Ger. man troops in Slovakia so close to Poland's southern frontier endangers the country's security. -Reuter.

It is suggested by Reuter's Mos- cow correspondent that the Soviet Parilament will not ratify the Ger- man Pact this month, adding that It is believed in competent cir. cles that the delay as regards rati- fication is a deliberate attempt to restrain Herr Hitler until a peace- ful Danzig settlement has worked out.
