RETURN OF WATTEAU MINIATURE

The papers devote many columns to the unexpected return of Watteau's famous masterpiece. "L'Indifferent” to the Louvre whence it had been mysteriously removed some weeks ago.
Although the talent of the young painter, Bogouslavsky, who removed it, is a matter of controversy, there can be no doubt that the affair. has brought him fame.
GAMBLING RAID

According to the prosecution, con- ducted by Det.-Sgt, H. J. Baldwin, the school was very large and well- managed on the second floor of No. 374, Reclamation Street.
Altogether 26 persons were arrested when the police raided the premise: at 5 p.m. yesterday.
Four were charged with keeping a gambling house and the other 22 with gambling.
The woman, the alleged keeper, on $76 bail and 22 alleged gamblers, on $5 bail each, had their bail estreated.

In an incident at. Kiryatanavim on the Jerusalem-Jaffa highway, in which Arab irregulars and Jews were involved, one Jew was killed.
