LONDON, TO-DAY.—As a result of the series of County Cricket Championship matches which concluded yester- day, Yorkshire are now virtually assured of the Champion- ship for the third year in succession.

The Tykes, after having several awkward periods against Worcestershire, who are one of the three counties to have beaten them this year, emerged successful, where- as their closest rivals, Middlesex, met with an unexpected reverse at the hands of Surrey.
