Three Matches Abandoned Owing To Rain
London, To-day. Rain interfered seriously with the County
cricket programme which concluded yesterday, no fewer than three
matches being abandoned.
Yorkshire, making a sporting
declaration, scored a fine victory "C" DIVISION
over Glamorgan, thanks chiefly
to
some brilliant bowling by Robinson, who took 10 for 119 in the course
of the match.
Apart from first innings wins by over Derbyshire,
Gloucestershire
and Hampshire over Surrey, other matches were abandoned.'

VITAL MATCH PLAYED OFF
Postponed on several occasions for various reasons, the vital "C" Division match between South China and Kowloon Tong was play- ed at Kowloon Tong yesterday and resulted in a tie.
Kowloon Tong are now in a favour- able position as this point is the only one they have dropped.
Other two teams in the running for the championship are South China and
C.R.C. The former have now drawn two and Kowloon matches-with. Recreio Tong-while C.R.C. have lost to South China.
League will probably be decided when C.R.C. play Kowloon Tong in the near future.
In "C" Division of the Tennis League, Kowloon Tong drew with South China A.A. yesterday at Kowloon Tong.

INTERPORTERS ON VIEW TO-NIGHT
In view of the forthcoming Inter- port swimming contest with Shang- hai, the swimming gala to be held at Victoria Recreation Club this evening between V.R.C. and Chinese Y.M.C.A., should prove of particular interest, especially as numerous past, present and future champions will be in action.
The programme will include classi- cal races and provision has been made for events for ladies and schoolboys."
Piece de resistance of the evening will be the 200 yards relay between V.R.C. and ́C.Y.M.C.A. Both teams will be at full strength and the form- er team, possible Interport represen- tatives, will have to give of their best to beat the Chinese who will be re- presented by:-Chan Wing-kai, Chan Chim-nam, Chan Cheung-wing and Lo Yuk-wing.
D. H. Taylor, W. Lawrence, D. Hutchinson and Charlie Nolasco' da Silva will carry the V.R.C. colours.
Taylor and Hutchinson, two of the Colony's most promising sprinters, will be opposed to Chan Wing-kai, holder of the Colony record, in the 50 yards. free style, while "Smally" Rumjahn and L. Roza Pereira will be opposed to Lau Yin-ting and Yeung Yin-kwan in the 100 yards back stroke.
Rumjahn and Lau are great rivals and were featured in a fine race in the first meeting this season of the two clubs, whilst Roza Pereira, mak- ing a comeback, forced Rumjahn to such an extent in a recent trial, that the latter broke his own record in se- curing a narrow victory.

Mrs. Clarke, partnered by N. A. E. Mackay making his first appearance in this type of tennis, was badly let down in the first set when Mackay could not get any of his strokes work Ing.
