Peiping, To-day. Every bit of progress in the Tokyo negotiations to be the signal for a further outburst appears of anti-British activity in Peiping under the auspices of the Japanese-organised and con- trolled committee.
Yesterday morning the city was simply flooded with violent anti-British posters in all public places, on the trunks of trees, telephone posts and pillar boxes.
Chief slogans were "Down with the British," "Asia for Asiatics" and "The spirited yellow race will never be slaves of England."
