EUROPEAN HEAT WAVES

Belgrade, To-day.

The tropical heat wave which has swept the whole of Yugoslavia except Slovenia since the middle of last week became still more inten- sive yesterday.

A temperature of 41 degrees Cen- trigrade in the shade was recorded in the Bosnian town of Tuzla and more than 60 degrees in the sun at the Dalmatian spa of Ulzin. Trans-Ocean.

After voicing support of the British standpoint and criticising the Japanese policy, the paper points out that the negotiations

Commenting on the anti-British campaign in the Japanese press, the paper remarks that Japan could not possibly act differently if she openly and deliberatly aimed at bringing about a failure of the negotiations and creating a war psychosis.

The paper writes that it is evi- dent that Britain cannot accept Japanese hegemony in occupied Chinese territory-Trans-Ocean.
