Blockade Of Concession Looms Larger
Hankow, To-day. Possibility of the imposition by the Japanese au- thorities of a blockade of the French Conces- sion in Hankow, after the manner of the Tien- tsin blockade, has increased. The French Consul-General, M. Reynaud, yester- day evening sent a Note to Mr. Chang Jen-li, the Japanese-appointed Mayor of Wuhan, re- jecting his demands regarding suppression of the attempt by Chinese demonstrators to hold a parade in the French Concession on July 7, the occasion of the second anniversary of the outbreak of Sino-Japanese hostilities.
