BERLIN EXPRESS WRECK ATTEMPT
Storm Clouds Again Gather Over Danzig Germany Mans Slovakian Border
LONDON, TO-DAY.. STORM CLOUDS ARE AGAIN GATHERING THICKLY OVER DANZIG AND THE AT- MOSPHERE IS ONCE MORE EXTREMELY TENSE.
German military activity in the Danzig area has been followed by the arrival of German mili- tary reinforcements along the former Czech- Polish frontier according to reports from Tes- chen.
These reports state that barbed wire entangle- ments are being erected, from twenty to forty yards deep, about two hundred yards from the frontier.
The situation has been aggravated by a series of in- cidents, including an attempt to wreck the Koenigsberg-Berlin express, an attempt des- cribed by Polish quarters as the work of agents- provocateur and by Germans as another out- rage against Germany.
The Polish press, which gives prominence to the Teschen news of German reinforcements along the Slovakian börder and the erection of deep defence lines, also reports two incidents from Danzig.
