CAPTAIN TO REMAIN IN

LONDON.

The selectors have apparently built up their side with an eye to the future by showing a preference for youth.

The captain, V. W. Wilson, comes from Queensland, and is 26, weighs 14 stone e lbs., and stands six feet. He is a speedy, second-row forward, with a deadly tackle, and he is considered. to be a line-out specialist. He cap- tained Australia in three Tests against the All-Blacks last year.

A school teacher by profession, Wil- son was this year awarded a Carne- gie Education Fellowship, only two of which are available to Australia. He will remain behind in England to study at the. London University Press As- sociation.
