POLISH A.A. GUNS FIRE
ON GERMAN AEROPLANE
GRAVE WARNING
TO BE MADE TO DANZIG
Danzig, To-day.
The relaxation of the tension aroused in Danzig by German military preparations was rudely dis- turbed yesterday when the Nazis put out a re- port that a German plane had been fired at by Polish troops.
The plane, a Lufthansa machine flying on the route Berlin-Danzig-Koenigsberg, is alleged to have been fired at by Polish anti-aircraft guns as it crossed the Polish frontier near Zoppot.
The plane was not hit, and continued on its way.
.
Meanwhile, a Warsaw
message says that the Polish diplomatic representative in Danzig, M. Cho- dacki, has been instructed by War- saw to intimate to the Danzig-au- thorities Poland's standpoint to- wards Nazi military measures in such a way as to convey a grave warning.
The next few days, says the semi-official Warsaw newspaper, will bring about further clarifica- tion of the Danzig situation. Trans-Ocean.
