NOUTH China are making a bold bid for the "B” and “C” Division League tennis titles, and, from what they have accomplished already, can now be considered firm favourites.

In both these divisions they have secured victories

over the holders, Chinese Recreation Club. Yesterday, after a great strug- gle, they emerged successful by the odd set.

Chiefly responsible for this re- sult was the fine form of S. O. Khoo and Y. F. Lui, who played a dashing. brand of tennis to win all their

sets, while the other two pairings | S.C.A.A. did well in winning a set apiece.

E. Li and Pang Oi-lam were the best C.R.C. pairing.

Kowloon Tong, who are another team that will have to be consider- ed for the championship, advanced still further in their quest for the title when they overcame I.R.C. at Sookunpoo by 6 sets to 3.

H. Lin and E. Lee played very well for the winners and did not drop a set. All the 1.R.C. combinations won a set each.

Other two matches resulted in overwhelming victories for Radio and Postal Sports Club and creio.
