COURT COMEDY: JENGHIZ KHAN'S CHARGE AND COUNTER-CHARGE BY CHINESE

A Portuguese youth, S. A. Williams, aged 21, of No. 30, Poplar Street, first floor, and a Chinese youth, Wong Yee, aged 23, of Yu Chau Street, were brought before Mr. E. Himsworth this morning on a charge of larceny of a bicycle.
They pleaded not guilty and ac- cused each other of stealing.
An alternative charge of receiv- ing was preferred against them.
Det.-Sgt. A. Shaw, prosecuting, said that a tailor, Hau Kam-tim, left his bicycle in front of No. 43, Ashley Road on June 11 and when he came out the bicycle was gone.
On Saturday, the tailor's foki saw the bicycle outside a shop in Peiho .Street.
The Chinese youth said. the bicycle had been handed to him by the Portuguese for sale As the latter was going to Singapore, and that he sold it to the shop in Peiho Street.
The Portuguese youth brought the same charge against the Chin- ese youth.
Both were remanded for 24 hours,
