ANDREW NEWTON JUNIOR, WORLD'S GAMEST BOXER
THE ring has provided tales of
gameness and grit by the hundred, but never has the rope square pro- duced a more fantastic man than Andrew Newton junior.
Son of the well-known "Professor" Andrew Newton, veteran boxing in- structor, Andrew was, a few years ago, a smashing welterweight. He could move like lightning. Hit with both hands. He met the best in the world in his class. Yet his appetite for ac- tion remained unsatisfied. But, as they cheered the bruised and battered Newton striding to his dressing room, none of them.. then knew that this great fighter was stone blind, that Marcel Thil's gloves had taken away the sight of his remaining eye.
