London, May 25.-The annual gen- eral meeting of the Scottish Football League was held in Carlton Place, Mr. Glasgow, yesterday afternoon, David Martyn presiding. Mr. James Bowie, the vice-president, was un- animously elected president, and took .the chair.
There was a keen contest for the position of vice-president, Messrs. M‘Mahon, Clyde; D. M'Lean, East Fife, and A. A. Jackson, Ayr United, being nominated. On a final vote being taken, Mr. M'Mahon was elected by 20 votes to Mr. M'Lean's 18.
For the two places on the First Divi- sion Management_Committee, Messrs. R. Kelly, Celtic; T. Sloan, Third Lan- ark; W. Johnstone, Queen of the South, and J. Kinloch, Partick Thistle, were Kelly and Mr. Sloan being elected with 20 and 14 votes respectively.
Mr. D. M'Lean, East Fife, was re- elected as Second Division representa- tive with 15 votes, Messrs. J. M'Kech- nie, Queen's Park, and A. Cunning- ham, Morton, being the unsuccessful candidates.
East Stirlingshire and Edinburgh City were re-elected to the Second Divi- sion. Various proposals of alterations in rules were defeated, but one by the Management Committee clarifying the of rule dealing with players' - share transfers was accepted.

Clyde F. C. were also successful in their proposal to alter the rule dealing with guarantees when matches are postponed owing to visiting clubs be ing responsible for postponement through players being engaged in in- ternational or representative matches. In future, the guarantee rule will not obtain in these instances.
The Management Committee of the
later League met
and appointed Messrs. Bowie and M'Mahon to repre- sent them on the S.F.A. Messrs. Bowie, M'Mahon, M'Lean, and Jackson were appointed to represent the League on the International League Board.
Players appeals were considered, and the following had their registra» tions cancelled:J. P. Knox, 8t. Mir- ren; W.,S, Chalmers, Dunfermline gåta- letic; J. Buist and R. M'Kay,. Rukh Rovers.
