The Fincher-Overy combination re- tained its unbeaten record at the ex- pense of "Jock" Fender, who had poor support from his third man, but the best bowls was seen on Number One Although my forecast was rink where Joe Carey and Ernie Kern, only half right, there were few put up some wonderful woods.
Willie McLeod and George Lee had upheavals of form: in the Pre-

C. G. SILVA CARRIES SIDE
The champions, thanks largely to Carlos Silva's great win over U. M. Omar, beat Craigengower by seven shots at King's Park, leaving the lat- ter, as I pointed out in Saturday's is- sue of the "China Mail", eight shots to the good on the last nine games he- tween these two clubs.
"C. G." was in splendid form, driv- ing or drawing with equal facility: he was ably supported by Marques, who was dangerous with every wood. Lead- ing by a singleton at the eighth end, Omar secured only four more shots to his opponent's 15.
F. X. M. Silva, last year's champion skip, was steadiness personified, bus he may be considered lucky to have obtained a five, which I understand, might easily have been saved, at the
very last head.
SECOND DIVISION
A.H. BASTO'S FINE EFFORT
FOR K. TONG
In the Second Division, Craigen- gower retained their unbeaten re- cord at the expense of Police on the latters' green.

RULE VI (3) AGAIN
Taikoo did well to beat Kowloon Football Club so handsomely at Chat- ham Road, all rinks contributing to the victory.
"No names, no pack drill" but a little bird whispered that there has never there been so much foot-faulting was in this match. Another record!
Hong Kong Football Club beat Kow- loon Bowling Green Club as expected. The other two Recreio rinks were able to win, F. X. Soares beating Sammy Gray by a small margin, and B. Basto, after leading all the way, having 10 in hand against Fred Cullen.
THIRD DIVISION
J.T. SMALLEY'S LAST-MINUTE EFFORT
Three sixes and a seven were chalked up in the
game: at Chat-
ham Road, where Kowloon Bowl ing Green juniors inflicted a heavy defeated on the home club. Doctor Smalley secured the biggest of these at the 20th head to beat Lockhart, and emerge the only home winner,
Jake Selby, for whom Jack Howell played a great game as lead, tied with Joe Meyer, securing a good three on the last head to do so.
Kowloon Tong had a narrow victory over the Civil Servants thanks entirely to Harry Gittins, who simply over. whelmed Bagley's rink. Jimmy Wong was leading well for him and both Lim and Howard were useful.
Although Tony Basto lost to Bill Hillyer it was this rink which made the win possible for the home team. The home skip burnt the head when the game was against them and in the replayed head Castro put in a beautiful shot behind the kitty to make sure of the match.
