The body of an European was found floating in the harbour near the Kowloor. Godowns this morning by the Water Police.

Death was due to drowning. The man was fully dressed and his age is estimated to be about 35 years. Nothing on the body was found to assist the police in identifying it, but the name of the maker of the man's shirt was found to be Phillip Jones.

He also had a white leather band round his left wrist.

It is believed that the drowned after falling into the barbour off a ship.

Nothing was found to indi- cate foul play.

The body is now lying in the Kowloon Mortuary.

Defendant told the Court that he had been sent out on an errand by his mother, but outside the Sincere Company, he had met the old woman, who had told him if he would carry a package she held in her hand to a house in Wanchai, she would give him some tea money. Defendant had been willing to do so, not knowing, as he said, that the package contained heroin pills. Defendant had not known about the contents until he had been searched and the package opened by

The case is continuing, with Re- venue Officer W. Colledge in charge of the prosecution.
