THIS AFTERNOON'S LAWN BOWLS PROSPECTS DISCUSSED
(By “SKIP”)
My forecast this week looks rather unim- aginative, as I have indicated a win for all the home teams "twelve home, sixty to one" as the bookies would say!
The Indians are always a hard side to beat at Sookunpoo and although I do not take last week's defeat at the hands of the Champions as a criter- ion,, I do not think that the Police team, in spite of one or two changes, will be able to take away the points.
The Kowloon Cricketers are field- ing the same combination never change a winning team is a sound policy and may have some difficul- ty in repeating their last year's vic- tory over the Kowloon Dock team which looks to be about as sound as they can field at any time.
Last week's failure at home can- not surely be a true indication of Kowloon Bowling Green's form 80 a win against the Club de Recreio' "B" team looks a certainty: по changes have been made in either of the teams except that the jovial Eddie Souza resumes his regular place as third man to F. X. Soares. The Civil Servants always put up a good fight at Craigengower but I do not think that they will be able to bring home the bacon this week: the first they are appearing for time so it will be interesting to see how they shape.
The Portuguese Club, should just about manage to overcome the Kow- loon Footballers but will need to be at their best to do so: there will not be many shots in it at the finish.
Hong Kong Football Club meet the debutant Prison Officers' Club and although anything may hap- pen, one must favour the home team to win in view of the fact that the newly formed Club has little experience of greens other than their own at Stanley.

Second Division Impressive as was this same club's junior win last Saturday, it does not seem likely that they will be able to overcome Hong Kong Football Club on the latter's green, as the home team had an equally creditable win away from home.
Probably the best tussle in this | Kompton and F. Cullen (Skip). division will be at the Valley where the Craigengower team are to re- ceive the Kowloon Footballers: the latter will be anxious to rehabi- litate themselves after a home fail- ure, but I think the home outfit will prove too strong for them achieve that object.

Kowloon Bowling Green Club have made one or two changes, in-E. Kern (skip). cluding the promotion of H. White whom I mentioned in my notes yes- terday, to skip, and the alterations should sufficiently strengthen the team to ensure a narrow victory against the Taikoo men--the club W. Mair, G. A. Police juniors are at home to the Kowloon Tong Citizens and may be just able to save the points al- though the visitors are not to be treated lightly.

With a commendable courage I have tipped a win for Yacht Club and nothing would please all bow-J. Hall and R. Duncan (Skip), lers better than to see them on the winning side again.
1.
This should be their big chance and I think that with their slightly strengthened team as compared with last season-they may just about gather the points.
The Electricians put up à very good fight last Saturday and may beat Kowloon Bowling Green Club in spite of some changes in the composition of the latter's team. The homesters also have one or two changes in their lineup as is inevi- table with this Club on account of duties--someone base to make the wheels go round **
