ATKIN AND SUMNER PLAY BRILLIANTLY FOR WINNING TEAM
A GREAT game was seen at Sookunpoo yesterday, when in the final of the Army Football League, 24th Heavy Battery, R.A. defeated 27 Company, R.A.M.C. by four goals to one.
24 Battery were worthy winners, but R.A.M.C. would have done much better had their finishing been of a higher order. Many golden chances were missed through bad shooting and they have only themselves to blame for their defeat.

In the forward line only Pym and Mayhew were, dangerous, but they were handicapped by an injury to Parkin in the first half which seem- ed to affect him for the rest of the game.
Minishull did well in the R.A. goal, making, one exceptionally bril- liant save when Pym was through on his own, pushing the ball over the bar from point blank range.
Hill worked very hard at right half, but Rankin in-the-centre half berth dominated the centre of the field and kept matters well in hand. and The R.A. inside men, Atkins Sumner were brilliant and made op- the portunites beyond number for wingers and centre forward.
Findlay should have scored more than once, missing several good | chances.
