THE Annual Athletic Meeting which

THE

takes place on Wednesday and Thursday of this week should see some keen competition for honours.

| ROYAL SCOTS AND ATHLETICS

Royal Scots who have not been very successful in the sports field during their stay in the Colony are making a determined effort to win the Inter-Unit Athletic Cup and can be seen any morning putting in some intensive training at Caroline Hill.

Although the team has not been fin- ally selected, most of the selections will be automatic.

On present form the quarter mile team will probably consist of Loughlin, Deveraux, Slade and Parnaby. Dever- aux has been showing fine form in training and has, turned in some good times while Parnaby has also been very consistent. Slade, unfortunately has had a couple of days sojourn in "dock" to have some teeth removed but it is hoped that he will be fit enough to compete.

In the half mile, it looks as though Parnaby, Sutherland, Couch and Man- son will form the team. Manson is the take a lot of stopping. Couch is steady Colony half mile champion and should
