Both Bills have a lifetime of three years, and can be continued for a year at a time by an Order- in-Council, or be abandoned be- fore three years by similar means.

GERMAN CONSUL AND WIFE KILLED
Paris, To-day, The German Consul-General in Tunis; Marshal. Von Bieberstein and his wife, were fatally injured in a motorcar accident which occurred lant night.

Consul General 'and his wife were driving, collided with another car about ten kilometres outside Tunis.
The German Consul-General and his wife were conveyed in a grave condition to the hospital where they succumbed to their injuries a few hours later.

Jobs To Be Kept Open For Conscripts

The text of the Conscription Bill, officially styled the Military Training Bill, issued last night, shows that both the Admiralty and Air Force may take a certain percentage of those called up. The Admiralty is empowered to establish a special reserve to which selected men will be attached. There will be no need for special powers for the R.A.F. which already possesss an auxiliary re-
