Political disturbances have broken out in the north-east province of San Juan.
The ostensible cause of the un- rest is the forthcoming election of a new Governor, due to take place at the end of April.
Disputes arose among suppor- ters of the various party groups. For unexplained reasons, a shoot- ing affray occurred in the pro- vincial capital. The chief of the secret police was shot.

EGYPT REPLIES TO HITLER QUESTIONS

According to the newspaper "Al Ahram," Egypt has received an enquiry from Germany regarding her sentiments on the question of aggression.
Egypt replied that she was not informed of President Roosevelt's message to Hitler and Mussolini beforehand.
It was added that while deeply interested in safeguarding her in- tegrity she naturally welcomed any undertaking of non-aggression. Reuter.
