THE CHINA MAIL, APRIL 24, 1939.

EIRE AT THE COURT OF ST. JAMES

One of the most important de- velopments in the history of Com- monwealth relations will shortly be officially announced when Eire abolishes the post of High Com- missioner in London.

Mr. J. W. Dulanty, present High Commissioner, will be raised to the rank of Irish Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary, while a British Minister will be accredit- ed to Dublin.

Simultaneously

Mr.

+

de Valera

will establish direct diplomatic re- lations with the Dominions.

*IINVIDIOUS"

Mr. de Velera's position is that Eire's new Constitution, adopted by plebiscite last year, makes the post of Irish High Commissioner in London invidious, Canada and South Africa supported this stand- point, and Britain will now give fuli diplomatic recognition to Eire's new status.

As yet, it is unknown whether the posts held by Dominion High Commissioners in London will be affected, but it is considered likely that they also may be raised to the rank of Ministers. Dominong want to extend trade relations with Eire, while Mr. de Valera is keenly interested in secur- ing diplomatic protection for Ire land is widely-scattered exiles.

Mr. Dulanty will present his new credentials Irish Minister at Buck- ingham Palace, while the first Bri- tish and Dominions Ministers will be driven in state to Dublin Castle, where they will be received by Mr. de Valera.

The Importance Of

Sound Sleep.

During sleep the body recoups the energy and vitality expended during the daytime. Sound sleep is essential to good health.

If your nights are restless and dis- turbed you will soon teel the effects and ill health must result if the con- dition is allowed to persist.

The ability to sleep soundly depends largely upon the state of the nerves, and this, in turn, depends upon the condition of the blood. If your nerves are under nourished and your blood is impoverished, watery, impure, your sleep will be hitful and disturbed, un- productive of that recuperative rest for mind and body which they need.

To ensure sound, healthy, invigora- ting sleep build up your nerves and your whole system with a course of Dr. Williams' Pink Pills, which create new, rich, red blood at every doso,

AB

For other consequences, too, of im- digestive poverished blood, such disorders, rheumatic troubles, physical weakness, mental depression, back- ache, palpitation, nervous prostration, and the health irregularities special to women, Dr. Williams' Pink Fills are equally beneficial.
