Kotewall Cup Clash To-Day

CHINESE FAVOURED TO BEAT ARMY

The second game of the Kotewall Charity Cup Competition will be played this afternoon at 4 p.m. at Causeway Bay when Army meet South China.

In the forward line Emberson and Courtney, both selected players. for Manila at the end of the month, will form the right-wing, combina- tion, while Saw and Duffield, who have played together, before, will be on the left-wing.

Eastman May 'Blaze' Again

WELTER-WEIGHT

Arthur Danahar (Bethnal "Green) is to have his first- fight as a welter-weight against Harry Craster (Middesbrough) at Harringay on April 13. He has been matched to meet Craster over eight rounds at 10st 7lbs in the chief supporting bout to the Tommy Farr-Red Burman contest.

Danahar decided to fight in future as a welter-weight fol- lowing his unsuccessful bid to capture Eric Boon's light- weight championship.

COCHET NARROWLY BEATS MASKELL

(By AIR MAIL)

Dan Maskell, the British Davis Cup coach, and the only British- er in the event, missed by a single point what would have been the best victory of his career in the £1500 Professional Lawn Tennis Tournament, at Olympia, London. Playing Henri Cochet, the Frenchman, who was Wimbledon champion in 1927 and 1929, Mankell reached 5-4 and match-point in the final set. One more point would have given him a great win, but then Cochet made a brilliant back- hand parsing shot, drew up to 5-all,
