M. Guy La Chambre, the, French Air Minister, estimated the output last month as 80 aeroplanes and de- clared that this.would be increased to 200 machines monthly by the. spring.
Suggestions that the rate of Bri- tish aircraft production already equals that of Germany appear opti- mistic.
Recent reports indicate that many German factories have slowed down their output. The Heinkel factory, one of the largest and best equipped i aeroplane manufacturing plants in the world, is now working one eight- hour shift.per day instead of two. PRODUCTION DIFFICULTIES
