Madame Tabouis makes another sensational pre- diction of the course of the next international crisis, which she declares to be threatening. Optimism in well-informed quarters, she says, has been somewhat modified. This is due to news from Rome and Berlin.
It is true, Madame Tabouis adds, that von Ribben- trop has assured M. Coulondre, the French Am- bassador, that there will be no war this year and that the colonial question will not be press- ed for the moment.
