ASKS TAX-FREE DOCTORS' FEES
Mr. A. M. Lyons, K.C., asked in the House whether, in view of concessions made with regard to renewals of machinery, relief would be granted to the smaller tax-payer for medical treatment.. Taxpayers from all parts of the country have written to Mr. Lyons pointing out that increased taxes often come at a time when they can ill afford to bear extra bur- dens because of doctors', ex-. penses, while they see s manufac- turer regularly given the benefit of a renewal allowance for his machinery when that shows signs of breakdown.
