POSTMAN'S KNOCK KISSES BANNED

That old party favourite, "Post- man's Knock,” and other kissing games have been banned by a Glasgow church as the result, it is alleged, of the verger finding young people embracing. darkened corridor.

Д

The vestry of St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church, Govan, has de- cided to ban such games, and its Young People's Guild has been dis- banded.

The Rev. W. G. S. Snow, who officiates at the church, said that while he did not want to be a spoil-sport, he did not think it proper that young couples should extinguish lights in the church hall and corridors and begin kiss- ing and hugging.

CHURCH BACKS MINISTER The cause of the trouble was a function of the how disbanded Young People's Guild.

The verger found lights out and couples kissing in the cor- ridors. He reported to the vestry, which, presided over by the minister, agreed to take drastic steps.

At the annual meeting of church. members one lady asked if the vestry member had never been young, but generally speaking the entire church-is-behind minister and vestry in their action.

Mr. Show said that the majority of young people formerly in the Guild had remained loyal to the church by joining its other organ- isations..
