H.K. Hockey XI Settling Down
Pyara Singh And Bond Were Very Good In Last Sunday's Encounter
OSMAN'S SOUND GOALKEEPING:
LT. PRITAM NATH ILL
(By "STICKS")
IT was a pity that Lt. Pritam Nath was unable to play in last Sunday's hockey match at King's Park between the Colony Interport team and the Hockey Association Tournament side, which result- ed in a clear cut win for the former by three goals to nil.
Sunday was conspicuous for the fact that practically ever mem- ber of the Interport team felt at his best and if the forwards can reproduce anything like their form of that day, Macao will have to be at their very best to avert a defeat.
In the absence of Pritam Nath from the Colony's attack. Malik was taken out of the left-half position and made to lead the for wards, while R. Marques was included in the half-back vacancy.
The Tournament eleven also had several changes, most con- spicuous being the absence of Sgt. Dawson, of the R.A.F.
J. M. Pinto was brought into the vacancy at inside-left while in Parker's unavoidable absence (he the was playing for Police in senior Shield the same afternoon) E. Fowler was included at left-half. GOOD ALL ROUND

MISS MARIE SMITH SAILS FOR NEW ZEALAND
"Y" Ladies lost one of the best forwards this morning, when Miss Marie Smith, three times an Inter- porter, left the Colony for England via New Zealand.
Miss Smith has been probably -the most consistent inside-forward in the Colony since the days she first played for Central British Association Ladies. She leaves to- day with the good wishes of all hockey players for a happy holi- day and will probably return to the Colony in about eight months time.
