What The Stars Foretell
You
(By MARY BLAKE)
may be judged by your moral rather than by your physical courage this day. Principles will be tested, so do not waiver in any firm conviction you have, especial- ly if it involves a theory or doc- trine that you have found helpful. An irresistible impulse to meddle in other people's affairs, will be the besetting sin of some of your friends, so you must be careful
that they do not persuade you to
do likewise. Before the day passes
you are apt to have the oppor tunity to make some money. Be careful that you do not overlook it.

Pieces Of: Velvet
Old velvet jarkets or frocks and odd pieces of velvet and velveteen bought at the sales are well worth collecting, as they will gerve many household, purposes. Most people admit that a velvet pad is unsur- passed for giving the final polish to shoes, but too often the pad becomes so encrusted with polish and dust as to be useless for this purpose. A supply of pieces of velvet should be kept handy for tacking on to the pad as the surface becomes worn. A velvet pad should also be kept for giving the final smoothing to the hair. Lightly used, a velvet pad will remove bits of fluff from dark clothes and dust from hats. Small pieces of velvet also make good al- ternatives for the manicuring cham- ois. Velvet makes a good final .polisher for furniture and delicate surfaces.
