London, To-day.
The partition of Palestine into two Autonomous re- gions with separate Jewish and Arab adminis- trations is regarded by "The Times" as the only possible solution in the Palestine dead- lock.
A definite settlement, which "The Times" thinks should produce union of the Jewish part of Palestine with the Christian part of Lebanon Republic as "Syro-Palestine Federation," and the Jewish as well as Arab parts of Palestine should remain under British Mandate.

"The Times" regards it as pos- sible that Britain and France may guarantee the territorial integrity of the eventual new Syro-Palestine State of which the Jewish part of Palestine and Lebanon would form completely autonomous units on an

N.A.E. MACKAY MAKING PROGRESS
The many friends of Mr. N. A. E. Mackay, who sustained a frac- tured bridge of the nose after being hit by a cricket ball in last Satur- day's League match between Crai- gengower and K.C.C., at the Val- ley, will be glad to learn that he is making steady progress. An X- Ray was taken yesterday, but results are not yet known.
DRIVING OFFENCE

The paper, on the other hand, pays a liberal tribute to the in- dependent Arab States because these may selected outstanding personages as
the delegates to London conference and have done everything in their power to assure the success of the conference.
"The Times” admits that the Arab protest against unrestricted Jewish immigration into Palestine is justified. "The Times" also publishes a letter by Dr. Weiz- mann, which declares that Jewish refusal to relinquish claims on Palestine are due to the considera- tion that the Jews regard Pales- tine as their national home, Trans-Ocean.
