DEATH OF YOUNG ARSENAL GOALKEEPER
The death occurred on January 2, in the Royal Northern Hospital, London, of John Ford, the nineteen- year-old goalkeeper of Arsenal- Football Club.

Ford played a brilliant game for Arsenal reserves a week yesterday against Portsmouth reserves, when Arsenal won by 7-0, but after the match he collapsed and was taken to hospital suffering from duodenal ulcers and peritonitis. He had played for Wales in an Amateur International match.
