To Settle Issues Raised By Italy Herself CHAMBERLAIN'S ROME VISIT

The imminence of Mr. Neville Chamberlain's visit to Rome on January 11 is arousing interest as to the attitude of the powers concerned regard- ing Italy's demands on France.

M. Cambon, the French Charge d'Affaires in Lon- don, paid his usual daily visit to the Foreign Office yesterday, exchanging views with Bri- tish officials, says Reuter's diplomatic corres- pondent.

It is understood that M. Cambon repeated France's contention that Italy's present demands are such as must be solved by France herself.

Britain as a Mediterranean power, there has never been any question of Mr. Chamberlain mediating be- tween the two countries during his visit to Rome.
